Program Objective

 

The following objectives, core competencies, must be met by each student at the completion of the program.

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

  • Discuss the historical, philosophical, social, psychological, multicultural, and political influences of ICT on a global economy.

  • Analyze current issues and trends in ICT.

  • Relate how ICT affects global social transformation.

  • Plan, evaluate, and revise ICT systems.

  • Evaluate and use ICTs appropriate to one's own career.

  • Analyze the philosophy and principles underlying the organization and operation of ICT enterprise.

  • Interpret and conduct research to improve the body of knowledge relating to ICT.

In addition, each student will develop at least five specific learning outcomes, emphasis competencies, to demonstrate proficiency towards their program goal.

ICT- 701 Information And Communication Technologies in Organizations (3.00 cr.)

Evaluation of information and communication technologies. Impacts and development of information and communication technologies in organizations and society.

In this course the following competencies will be address and achieved:

  • Discuss the historical, philosophical, social, psychological, multicultural, and political influences of ICT on a global economy.

  • Analyze current issues and trends in ICT.

  • Relate how ICT affects global social transformation.

  • Plan, evaluate, and revise ICT systems.

  • Evaluate and use ICTs appropriate to one's own career.

  • Analyze the philosophy and principles underlying the organization and operation of ICT enterprise.

TECH- 733 Impacts Of Technology (3.00 cr.)

A contemporary, historical and futuristic look at some of the economic, sociological, psychological and political implications of industry and technology. Students will identify and investigate several impacts of industry/technology to show depth of understanding and relationships between them.

  • Discuss the historical, philosophical, social, psychological, multicultural, and political influences of ICT on a global economy.

  • Analyze current issues and trends in ICT.

  • Relate how ICT affects global social transformation.

  • Plan, evaluate, and revise ICT systems.

  • Evaluate and use ICTs appropriate to one's own career.

  • Analyze the philosophy and principles underlying the organization and operation of ICT enterprise.

  • Interpret and conduct research to improve the body of knowledge relating to ICT.

 

 

 

ICT- 710 Learning Technologies (3.00 cr.)

Repeatable: No

Overview and selection criteria of instructor-led, computer-based, and distance learning systems for delivering content to trainees in the workplace. Includes the development of training materials in a variety of formats.

In this course the following competencies will be address and achieved:

  • Analyze current issues and trends in ICT.

  • Relate how ICT affects global social transformation.

  • Interpret and conduct research to improve the body of knowledge relating to ICT.

 

 

 

 

INMGT- 700 Organizational Research Methods (3.00 cr.)

Quantitative and qualitative approaches to organizational and industrial research. Application of appropriate research tools to understand interpersonal relationships, analyze and design jobs, organizations and systems. This course should be taken the next to last semester in a student's coursework. Development of a research proposal that may be used to complete master's level field project/thesis.
